UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I am announcing my cancellation of headlining Heroes Expo due to: Heroes Expo failing to meet requirements. The Hau5 of Hakubi team was made aware of the lack of communication and coordination that Heroes Expo demonstrated days before the event. Similar situations have taken place with other guests of honor and it was discovered that a notorious promoter who has ripped-off talent in the past was actually spearheading the event; therefore, the Hau5 of Hakubi team have voted “No Confidence” on the promotion and effectively pulled out of the event. I apologize to the Nightkids that were excited to see me perform at the festival but to be honest, I doubt there is going to be an event at all. I hope to return to South Padre Island or the Rio Grande Valley someday under more solid and professional circumstances. Take care and live smashing my friends!

Heroes Expo is the newest anime, gaming, and book convention in South Texas, with the benchmark marquee event taking place in South Padre Island. After three years, the anime and EDM icon of cons, Sephi Hakubi, has been invited back to South Padre Island as the headlining guest of honor for the expo’s music festival: Revenge of the Nerdcore, playing the best in Progressive House, Trance, and Hardcore sounds as well as the best J-pop and K-pop mixes. He, with the Hau5 of Hakubi, will be joining special guest performers such as the Bodacious Squids, Smilez, Timenoid, Roflcopter, Pancho Loco, King Asylum, Janny Kamikazi, and many other festival performers as well as fandom industry guests: voice actor Steve Blum, gamers Krysti Pride and Britt Bombacher, cosplayers Missy, Raychul Moore, and Anastasia Dragunov, Youtube star Boogie2988, and professional wrestling Hall-of-Famer Mick Foley, among others yet to be announced. This is not just a convention, this is a massive celebration.
