Cya 2010!!!

As many folks at the blogging community know that it’s hard for me to adapt to frequent blogging, it’s not my fault that I haven’t posted much over the holidays. You can thank the friendly people at Apple for that. I recently reformated my Macbook Pro and apparently, just backing up your site folder does not back up your iWeb website. Well sephihakubi.com is all caught up for the most part; I just need to make sure my laptop stays in good condition for a while.
Let’s see if I can recap since Izumicon 2010. Since the end of the convention, I’ve been posting their videos up on Sushicrowd’s Youtube, but it wasn’t as fast as I wanted. I was given a week and a half off from work but of course with my job, I had to cram 3 weeks worth of work into one and a half before I could take days off. Once I finally went on vacay, Rin and I planned to go see our folks. We actually drove to South Florida on Christmas weekend to see mine since my brother flew in from Spain this month; we got to see them before they went off to Colombia. I didn’t get a lot of time to actually chill at home but I did get to stop by a couple of places that I wanted to since I may not be back there for a couple of years. Matt, Rin, and I dropped a lot of our money at Gameworks for drinks and DDR. Regardless, no matter what game I happened to get pwned in (virtually none), no one in this world can outdrink me out of an Irish Car Bomb. Ok, maybe it’s not something to be proud of and really if you find something delicious, it’s going to be easy. After Gameworks, we bought some new clothes to look good for my folks at our Christmas Eve party. I forgot to mention that I received an invitation from Jeshua (Miroku from Anime South) that he and his girlfriend were coming to the Destin area to visit us and the rest of the Anime South crew. My folks also booked their flight to Colombia on Christmas Day; therefore, Rin and I dropped them off at the Miami airport and then made the long drive back to Mary Esther. Funny thing about the drive is that we could wear shorts and a t-shirt down in Miami Beach…not so much in Ft. Walton Beach.
The next day we went to the Destin Commons to welcome Jeshua back and welcome Jenny…although the host got held up in getting to the commons but made it nonetheless. It was actually a real treat for Rin and I to be there since it’s not often we get to hang out with the Panama City people and indeed they’re awesome. What’s sad is as much as I want to leave Hurlburt Field forever, I won’t get to have a lot of time with this crew. Hopefully there will be more chances for these next 4 months. Sorry for the shoot but even though Anime South wasn’t necessarily run by the best people, the attendees make the con. To me, this was an Anime South reunion and hopefully we’ll get to reunite at an awesome con in that area. We finished the night at Hard Rock Cafe Destin and then froze our butts off walking around the commons. That night was the last fun night of 2010 until New Year’s Eve.
For the rest of the week, I focused on preparing the new Sushicrowd.com for it’s official launch on 1-1-11. The site is up right now but it wouldn’t be considered complete until that day, and even then there’s more stuff to put in there. I’ve experimented working with WordPress and after countless hours, I got it to work the way I wanted it to. I also consider this my sEpHi i$ teh ubER AWESOMENESS achievement since I’ve done what I’ve asked over 50 webmasters to do and failed…drop down menus and RSS feeds…well ok, I’m just proud of the site ok. I’ve also like to make a shout-out to another site and awesome anime radio station ever, 91.8 The Fan (918thefan.com). They are a fun crew and I consider them pro anime journalists.
Well that’s about it until New Year’s Day tomorrow. Check out all of my sites and pages because they’re going to have some mad updates. Sushicrowd’s going to release some surprise developments, I will post another Izumicon video, and I will also begin my new V-log show tomorrow. Personally, the last 3 years haven’t been that good to me and many of my close friends know why. I’m definetly ready for 2011, hope everyone else is too!!! Oh yeah, thanks to all my Hakubiverse for sticking with me through the bad, celebrating the good with me, and I hope to party with all of you sometime.
